The AE1-C is an upgraded version of the AE1 kit, including higher quality Mullard new production 12AT7 and EL34 tubes, upgraded choke and power supply, Auricap XO coupling capacitors, Alps potentiometer, solid aluminum volume knob, and Audio Note speaker binding posts. 
 
This DIY kit includes all components (resistors, capacitors, transformers, tubes, etc.) needed to build a 12AT7 / EL34 stereo single-ended tube amplifier.
